A Value Proposition workshop helps you to clearly articulate the point of your service or product, who it's for and what makes it unique. A value proposition is a statement that answers the 'why' someone should do business or work with you. It is the unique identifier for your product.

Why do a value proposition workshop?

This workshop works best when you are designing a feature or product from scratch. But also works great when you are redesigning a feature and have to go back to the basics to create an understanding of why and what you need to design to create value for the user.

👾 The plan


A value proposition workshop is a workshop you organise with stakeholders from different disciplines. Most often done after initial research has been performed. Good stakeholders to invite for this are Product Managers, Designers, Developers, Experts in the field of your product, Business specialists, field specialists.

Try not to invite too many people as to not overcrowd your workshop. 3 groups of 4 people for example is a nice amount of input. Keep the participants diverse to reduce bias and improve the input.
