<aside> 💡 Card sorting is a method centered around information organization. It asks users to organize labels into groups that they feel make sense. Open card sorting allows users to add their own labels and closed card sorting means they can only organize the labels you provide.

🛠️ The setup

Tools

Describe which tools you will use to perform the card sorting. An easy tool to use is useberry. Miro can also be useful when performing card sorting exercises with users.

Participants

For card sorting, it is recommended to request unmoderated participation (the participant can complete the study alone).

Target users Who are the users that will partake in the card sorting? What is their profile?
Messaging method Will you send an in-system request, an email to users, something else?

🌮 The Plan

Categories

For closed sorting, identify the categories that users can group cards into. For open sorting, delete this section and allow users to create their own category labels.

Once you have planned the cards here, add them to the Useberry project.
